(guest reporter Thomas Tipps)
Well, it was another week of revelry, rabid fighting, and innuendo in court this last week.  Now for the news:

POETRY AND TALES ABOUND by Meister Flannigan

The opening tale of Court began with a blessing given by Donna Karissa, who followed suit to bless the Court with many beautiful and wonderful poems.  Among them were Poems about Plants, Goddess of the Night, The Wild Flowers, and Rhapsody.  Though she was somewhat assaulted by requests to add words such as "in bed" or to emphasize "growth" or "growing," Donna Karissa's poetry was enjoyed by all.

Inspired by tales, Ilea told of three tales which included how she was injured and could not participate in Melee (she was hurt in a drunken challenge), the tale in which she participated in a "drive-by Page Turning," and the tale of her difficulties with her dwelling's caretakers.  Indeed, Ilea had an interesting (and nearly life-threatening) week!  Who knows what might happen next?!

In the spirit of poetry, the Grand Knight Marduk asked everyone to write a small poem, and perhaps give a rendition of it for the court.  In addition, to those that wished it, he was also willing to critique their works.  Many works of art were created in such a short time, and the Court was most impressed with the results of the minds of Warwickians.

HEAR YE, HEAR YE!!! written by Kelia Ahrmstead, Warwickian Weekly

After Karissa's blessing, sponsor and Knight Ambra announced that Inanna has completed all of the requirements for the first level of Dagonet.  Congratulations!  Most assuredly, the Companions await her arrival onto the Melee Field to extend their well-wishes!

Meanwhile, the good Duke has announced that while he studies at the Aquatic Philosphical Temple, he is offering a service to those who have philosophical questions, and first started his journey by asking

CLONES, DRONES, AND... MOANS? by Cagliostro de Sade

Don't let the title fool you... the moans were a from good things, not bad.  ANYWAY, we had a few somewhat startling news (as well as some good ones).  One of the first visitors to the Court at large were two individuals from the Imperium to the south---Caius Antonainus, an emissary from the Imperium (and from a nearby city); and his slave, Agropina.  The Court was informed that the Imperium was concerned with the war in Warwick, and wanted to know if the Imperium should prepare for invasion or even perhaps devote forces to aid their northern neighbor.  Though Agropina was silent, Caius did say that he was to judge whether or not the Imperium will join good and noble Warwick in their efforts to oust the Orcs and the Horde which plagues us!  His Majesty welcomed them in, and allowed them to remain in court for a while.

Then, while Aeric was tending to the Pages as Bailiff, another letter was read by his Majesty---a letter from Aeric!  It seems that in order for Aeric to defend Chateau Bannier from the Horde which surrounded the fortress, he had arranged for a clone to be created so that the duties of Bailiff would not go unfulfilled.  The letter also warned not to reveal this fact to the Aeric clone, who believes himself to be the real Aeric.

PAGES, PAGES, PAGES by Covington Cross

The Pages were ready, having been introduced to Druinhoods by Dona Karissa, the Widow Dragonsbane, and Paladin Galchauren.  The Court eagerly awaited the arrival of the Pages, who had just completed their Page Quests for the previous period.  Then, to throw them a miss, once they uttered the correct answers to their Quests---of the origin of Scarlette's headband, the meanings of Mollari's clothing of mail, and the Three Rings of the Widow Dragonsbane---they were given more quests to complete in the next period.  They were indeed concerned, and rightly so---for the quests before them were laid out and of such ferocity that more than one week was given to that they may find the answers.  Good luck, pages!  Go with Eld Magnil!

Thus ends this week's version of Joussey Roumers (a blatant and not-so-good knockoff of the Joosey Roomers, but hopefully close enough to keep you entertained).  May the Court of Light be victorious on all fronts!
