LAST CALL FOR PAGE-TURNS
This week was the last week of the Regal Beagles’ Page Turning.  They answered their remaining Page Quests dutifully and thoroughly, and were treated to an unusually-active night in Court.  They were also presented with an exhaustive list of items as part of their “Resorsefulness Test.”  All are looking forward to the upcoming Squiring Party Saturday night.

FAMILY FEUD
Clan Caradoc is back with a vengeance, and so is their age-old animosity with Clan Caerna.  Insults and challenges flew openly across the Court table with nary a whoop-bang to be heard.  It’s the Clan of Light versus the Clan of FIGHT, and only time will tell if the two can put the past behind them or divide the court from within the way no enemy has been able to from without.

SIR ROSALYN RETURNS...
Sir Rosalyn Amatyst Caerna visited the Court of Light this week, with tales of her brother’s decision to join a far-off monestary and seek wisdom for the rest of his days.  Alas, Sir Montjoy’s pilgrimage was a one-way trip, and while the Court mourns the loss of so great a Companion, all wish him well in his new pursuits.  Much of the Court’s time was spent sharing humorous tales of Sir Rosalyn’s brother.  He will remain in our hearts and thoughts always.

Furthermore, Sir Rosalyn brought with her a very special gift: Sir Montjoy’s Caerna Dagger, to replace the thane’s dagger, which so unfortunately (some would say ominously) broke several months ago.

..AS DOES COUNTESS KATARINA
Also in attendence this Thursday e'en was Countess Katarina, who has been seen little lately in the Eleven Lands save for the occassional Pages’ or Infidels’ Feast.  She regaled the Court with a short reading from the book FALLING UP, which in true Zandofar fashion was done while walking the length of the table in her purple boxers.  Huzzah!

CAERNA CONSECRATION, PART II
Last week, Her Eminence Ambernathia consecrated the first in a series of Caerna-only weapons, to be used only by members of the Clan of Light; a staff whose primary wielder was the High Druin herself.  This week, a smallsword emblazoned with the Caerna Star was consecrated in this fashion as well, only to Sir Rosalyn.  Ambernathia plans to consecrate a different weapon for each of the clanmembers over the next few weeks.

THE HIGH DRUIN GETS STONED
Ambernathia was also ordained this evening in recognition of her completion of the third level of Blessed Merlin.  An elaborate ceremony was performed after Court, involving all the Druins and, of course, the king.  Congratulations to Her Eminence on her acheivement!

OLD FRIENDS, OLD ENEMIES
There was another suprise visitor to the Court of Light this week, albeit a very unwelcome one: J.P., the former Gardener of Windsor, clad in an immaculate three-piece suit and tossing Marques (and attitude) around as if it were nothing, asked for his old job back.  Of course he was refused, and after a thinly-veiled threat against the Court he fled the Citadel.  Several Companions did offer chase, but were unable to catch the fleet-footed swindler.

****
Well, that’s all for this week.  See you all at the “Special Court!”
