| I'M THE EASTER BUNNY, HOORAY....
The e'en began as most do, calmly and with a touch of frivolity. The Easter Bunny deigned to grace the Court of Light with her presence, bearing a basket filled with chocolate-filled eggs which revealed cryptic and often amusing fortunes when broken apart. In the spirit of gift-giving, it was decreed by the Companions that all messengers appearing this e'en would in turn be given a message of their own, in the form of a fortune-bearing egg. WAR!
Next was the fall of Lankhmar harbor to the mysterious northern fleet and their avenging Murkhanese allies, the former of which included wargolems and meteoric-iron weapons among their arsenal. The same force which holds Lankhmar harbor is also fostering a rebellion in the Client Kingdom of Lyonesse, claiming that they are the rightful rulers of that land. To further add to the trouble in Lyonesse, reports reached the Companions' ears of a skeletal dragon, matching the one described in Marquessa Catalyn's vision a few weeks back, circling over the client kingdom. But the Companions are building their strength in preparation for a counterstrike against their foes. The High Druin, Sir Mus, has created a brace of talismans which are proof against the time magic of the Chronomancers; these talismans were given to the regents with a promise of more forthcoming. Paladin Aeric revealed to the Court a project of his some three months now: a golem created by magic and designed specifically to combat the metal monstrosities of Lacon and his allies. The Queen gave her blessing for Aeric to activate the remaining four prototypes and permission was given to begin the creation of more. The golems are to be placed under the direct control of the Grand Knight via special medallions similar to the control rod given to Lord Paladin Galchauren with his wargolem (which is reportedly missing). On the subject of Lacon, the mercenaries Thomas Moore and Anthony returned to Court, flush with success on their mission to take out the villanous Vox. No proof was offered to the Court at large, but the Queen confirmed that Lacon was indeed no more. Fears that the device Lacon held to threaten the missing memories of Sirrah Valric turned out to be unfounded, for upon closer inspection the device was nothing more than an empty shell. And on the eastern front, Sirrah Adder has returned from his liberated homeland of Wiltshire, a flotilla of warships in tow. With him was Commodore Heller, who offered his ships, as well as a number of shipwrights, to the service of the Queen in appreciation for Warwick's aid to the revolutionaries in Wiltshire. IN OTHER NEWS....
Reports from Wiltshire trading ships claim that the mysterious island three days east of Warwick is now populated, and that hundreds of ships were seen moored in its vicinity. The woman known only as "uhhhh" was confirmed by Her Majesty as Court Sexecutioner. Dame Duck is the latest victim of a string of thefts, having been robbed of her precious bells. Sir Ector (no relation), a knight-errant visiting the lands, has accepted a job as the Queen's bodyguard. |
