BLAST FROM THE PAST
A couple of old friends were in attendence this evening...Eggburt from the hospital, Rockin' Doc Xana, even Damsel Havilaseth was there.  Eggburt told the Court how he had been at a seminar in a far-off land, studying the healing properties of mothers' (and others') kisses.  He brought several "souveniers" with him, including some Emu and Kangaroo teriaki beef jerky, and a picture book from the Obocult(?) tribe featuring many of the unusual animals from the land he visited.

MUSIC FOR THE MASSES
This week the Court was fortunate to have a full-sized bard provide the music instead of their usual bards-in-a-box.  The minstrel, creatively named "Minn Strell," did play some most wonderous tunes upon his "plucked saltry"(?).  The Court was quite pleased.

THE TRAGEDY CONTINUES
When asked where her Champion and High Druin was, the queen responded by saying that Paladin Galchauren was at the Mages' Tower continuing research on the remains of Sir Mollari.  Nothing new has been heard, but it is known for sure now that the corpse is indeed that of the former duke of Windsor.

YET ANOTHER MESSENGER
The Court received several messages from Absentius Votus, brother of Proxius Votus, this e'en.  The first message was actually a delivery:  apparently Proxius had somehow gotten ahold of Damsel Liliandra's pants and did send them with his brother to her.  Liliandra hastily explained that she had to "share" them some time after Sir Aeric's masquerade ball, which is how they left her presence.  Curious, considering the damsel wore a dress to the ball, which was abbreviated enough to prohibit the hiding of such a garment....

Absentius also had a message for the Court from Dona Karissa, who was apparently journeying to her homeland of Blyth and promised to return the following week.  Through her message, she declared for the first level of the Honorable Order of Prince Percival, with Sir Aeric as her sponsor.  She also told Sir Aeric that he "owed" her a dance.

Sir Aeric was, as always, unavailable for comment.

NEW DRINKING BUDDIES
Rockin' Doc Xana, thane of Clan Ia Gondol, inducted two new members into her clan this e'en: Sirrah Antoine D'Pollo(sp) and Damsel Aurelia Tartul.  In accordance to Ia Gondol tradition, the two new members drank their way into the clan, while cries of "put your finger in it," "oh, I see!  It's foamy,"  and "I'm nervous...I'm not used to doing it in front of other people" were heard.  Congratulations to all!

In a related story, the Gondol wine Xana had the new Ia Gondols chug was from the last two bottles from the Drunken Star Winery, which is now closed.

A SONG, A SONG, HIGH ABOVE THE TREES....
To celebrate his clanning, Sirrah Antione graced the Court with a new song, this time in honor(?) of the Caradocs.  The song was titled, "walk like a Caradoc," and was most wonderful.

EPITHET--ER, EPITAPH FOR A POET
To honor the late author Shel Silverstien, Dame(sp) Inanna read several poems from his book, "Falling Up."

THE QUEEN LEAVES EARLY....
Queen Catalyn left the Court early this evening for an appointment with the Waywood Circle to see her daughter.  Apparently the sorceresses are still looking after the child in light of the events surrounding her siring.

THE SEXECUTIONER COMETH
The Court of Light was graced this e'en by the presence of one Estrae Ledd and her "pet" (a woman on a leash) who wished to apply for the position of Court Sexecutioner.  To demonstrate her qualifications, she took several Companions outside; all returned shortly thereafter with disevelled clothes and goofy grins on their faces.

It was about this time that our reporter took a mysterious leave of absence, saying something about "journalistic integrity" and "patriotic duty."  He returned in time for melee.

NEW CHAMPION
Knight Dimardizad did prove herself worthy of the title "Champion of Sword and Shield" this evening, by facing off against five skilled combatants.  Congratulations Dimardizad!
