| KING FOR A DAY His Majesty, King Mordecaii, was absent this week from Court for reasons we are not allowed to disclose. He is fine, though, and will supposedly be back to Court next week. ADDING INJURY TO INSULT The deranged would-be Grand Knight, Sir Peter, returned to Court this week. Sir Peter claimed to not only be Grand Knight of Warwick, but also the Grand Knight of Lancelot. Sir Mudd, the actual G.K. of Lancelot, took some great offense at this and took it outside with the deluded knight. He returned shortly thereafter with evidence that he had been in a scuffle. A NON-PROPHET ORGANIZATION The Court had a guest this e'en in the form of a heretic belonging to an order that believed the Companions would bring about the Apocalypse. He claimed that everyone else in his order had been killed by a strange mist or "gray cloud." The holy book of the order had also been destroyed, of which only a single page remained. The heretic showed this page to the Companions, who likened it to a book in the possession of Lady Moira, something which was found on an adventure of hers some time ago. The heretic claimed that the prophet who led his cult was missing and might possibly be alive somewhere in the lands south of Windsor. Duke Aeric "requested" that Sir Mudd accompany the heretic in his search for the missing prophet, but to no avail; the heretic was slain by the mysterious mist as soon as he left the Courtroom. The page from the book was also lost. ONE HUMP OR TWO? The Court received a letter from Padre Trell Zandofar which refuted claims made by a certain visitor last Court that he had sent the king a gift of 500 camels. Trell proceeded to place a price on the head of this gift-giver, comprised mainly of old issues of dragon magazines and home-cooked food. |
