MOLLARI'S MIRACULOUS MIGRATION (AND MUTATION) 
The duke returned from Aquitania this week, covered in bandages. Magius Fangorn and Most Honored Marduk related a harrowing tale (most of which was unfortunately lost beneath the din of uninterested Companions' side-conversations) of how they freed Duke Mollari from the mud and other dangers.  Unfortunately, the only way Fangorn could save the duke was to use magic to transform him into a human being.  Needless to say, there were many different reactions to this.  Some people approved, while others chastized the Michaelite for "cursing" Mollari.  Ultimately, however, the duke is alive, and that is what really matters.... 

CHAMELEONS CAUSE CHAOS IN COURT 
Murder once again marred the proceedings, as a critically-wounded peasant stumbled into the courtroom to die on its floor.  Pinned to her back was a note from the Dead Chameleons' Society.  According to the note, the assassins were most displeased by the Crimson Avenger's claims of traitors and spies within the group, and decided to take drastic action in order to regain their fearsome reputation.  They threatened, that unless Fangorn personally went to every single tavern and inn in the Eleven Lands, and told the people there that he HAD no agents in the DCS, they would kill the loved ones of all the Companions, starting with Sir Palpatine's cousin F-f-f-fritz and his wife Cecily. 

AERIC, ANGRY, ACCUSES... 
Sir Aeric, already displeased at Magius Fangorn for an earlier insult delivered via e-pigeon earlier in the week, lost it upon hearing the details of the DCS' plan.  He stormed angrily out of the courtroom, to await the Michaelite upon the field of honor.  Fangorn never came. 

LADY DRAGONSBANE DISHES OUT THE DIRT 
The primary cause of the animosity between Sir Aeric and Magius Fangorn was the accusation that Katalyn and Aeric were not in fact under the influence of Shadowcast when they made love several months ago.  Needless to say, Lady Dragonsbane was none too pleased to hear of Fangorn's accusation, and told him so in no uncertain terms. 

..AND IS ACCUSED 
The king, however, did arrive on the melee field, along with the other Companions.  Mus apologized for a thinly-veilled accusation he made in court concerning the involvement of Sir Aeric in the murder of Duke Mollari's parching attendant two weeks ago.  Aeric declared that he would not return to the Court of Light until he had cleared his name and found the real killer.
