THIS IS HALLOWEEN!
Sir Aeric, Ohmalourd F-f-f-fritz, and Lady Katerina put on a special
Halloween Court this week, decorating the Court as appropriate for the
spooky holiday and providing much in the way of food and drink.  There
were also several contests, as follows:

Best Costume: Damsel Mikayla (chainmail bikini)
Best Ghost Story: Marquessa Catalyn
Best Decorated Pumpkin: Damsel Mikayla
Honorable Mention: Night Aurelia

The winners of each contest received a Jack-O-Lantern candle holder.

GHOSTS FROM THE PAST
As it was All Hallow's Eve, it seemed only appropriate that the Court was
visited by two spirits of the departed.  These spirits belonged to Floyd
and Reed, two of the three Unknown Mercenaries that accompanied Baron Ptolomei and Dame Endraneth in their encounter with Shadowcast all those years ago.  Fittingly enough, one of the pages was given a quest the week before to learn the tale of the three mercenaries and tell it in Court.  Floyd and Reed had with them a copy of the contract signed by Sir Aeric, Sir Marduk, and Illuminatrix Karissa on Aeric's quest for his Caerna dagger a few years back; Marquessa Catalyn gave one of the pages the quest of fufilling one of the contract's outrageous demands in as
creative a way as possible.

COMPANION...PREMIER...ASSASSIN??
The Fortune's Folly pages told the story of their Rock Guard this e'en,
including a disturbing account of assassination by who appeared to be
Duke Lorath Hawksmoor Zandofar.  The pages claimed that the assassin
looked exactly like Duke Lorath, right down to his clothes and Zandofar
medallion.  The premier commented that his Zandofar medallion had been
missing for some time, and also claimed that he was in the company of the
herald, Dame Jassurande Heruthane Zandofar, during the time of the
attack.  Nevertheless, he was placed under voluntary house arrest until
the truth of the matter can be determined.

A.W.W. YEAH...
An elderly gentleman by the name of Don Giovanni visited the Court
briefly this e'en, to promote and seek participants in a very special
brand of performance art: Armored Women's Wrestling.  With him was one of the participants, an amazon dressed not unlike Damsel Mikayla.

TERROR IN THE TUNDRA
Sir Marduk told the tale of how he travelled to the frozen north, where
he matched wits with a werewolf and found Sirrah Nazgul and a companion (small "c") recently returned from the Blue Dimension.

MOLLARI UNLEASHED!
Marquessa Catalyn announced in Court this e'en that all of her permanent
magical wards mysteriously disappeared this past Sunday, only to reappear just as mysteriously.  She explained that such wards should only be able to be dispelled by their caster, and that once dispelled, should not pop back up.  To further complicate matters, Sir Mollari apparently took the opportunity to escape from his cell in Gaul.

A PORTAL TO EVIL
Sir Aeric Bannier Caerna announced to the Court this e'en that he has
commissioned a team of mages and craftsman to create a large
magical "gate" to the Blue Dimension.  Following the directions given to
him by Sirrah Vox, Sir Aeric had ordered mass quantities of the
components for the one-man (-golem) transporters gathered over the course of the past month.  With the sovereign's blessing, his team is now going ahead with the construction of the device; once Sirrah Nazgul can be reached for reconaissance info, a plan for opening the gate and rescuing
the Warwickian peasantry currently being held prisoner in the Blue
Dimension can be drawn up.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Sirrah Adder: "And so the two mercenaries--"
Mercenaries: "THREE mercenaries!"
Sirrah Adder: "THREE mercenaries...."

WEEKEND REPORT
This Sunday, the Companions gathered at Creek Park to do what they do best--kill each other.  A lot.  See portraits of the bloody event at:
