AUTHOR'S PREFACE
Companions,

As the entire staff of The Roomer Mill is currently asleep at their desks, I have taken it upon myself to personally pen this week's issue of Joosee Roomers.  I apologize ahead of time for any errors in this week's issue, for I lost my notes somewhere between the Citadel and the stables, and my efforts to stay awake during this crisis is affecting my ability to recall even these most recent events.

In Light,
Sir Aeric Bannier Caerna

-----------
DUKE LORATH RETURNS, IS EXONERATED; HARQ REARS ITS UGLY HEAD ONCE MORE
Duke Lorath, who for the past two weeks has confined himself to Windsor Castle under a voluntary house arrest, returned to Court this week and confronted Marquessa Catalyn (more on this below).  Shortly thereafter, Dame Jassurande, from whom the Court had received some disturbing messages last Court, arrived to deny having sent the messages and instead claiming that she had been kidnapped by HARQ and imprisoned for the past couple of weeks, only recently being able to escape.

On the subject of HARQ, I reported to the Court that my deputy, Sir
Marduk, had given me his first report since infiltrating the group.  He had said that he was getting close to the two remaining leaders of HARQ,
and that he was also close to getting his hands on the remaining supply
of "dragon extract" that HARQ was mining in the Tar Plains.

MARQUESSA CATALYN'S BIZARRE BEHAVIOR CONTINUES
Ever since she had received a coin and a small golem in the form of a cat
from Lacon Vox, the marquessa has been acting unusually fey.  Queen
Flidas ordered Marquessa Catalyn to subject herself to an examination by
the experts at Lord Dragonsbane's sanitarium.  Apparently "Headmaster"
(who lacks any other name so far as I can tell) was rather opposed to
letting this happen, to the point where Her Majesty ordered me to place
him under arrest and escort him from the Courtroom.  As I approached him to do so, he threatened me with physical violence.  We were able to cool tempers quickly enough, for Marquessa Catalyn agreed to the examination and the queen rescinded her order to me concerning Head-
master's removal.

SIRRAH VOX REPORTS STRANGE FINDINGS IN THE MAGES' TOWER
Last week, I requested that Sirrah Vox be sent into the Mages' Tower to
look for any evidence of a cure for the poison plague that had arisen from the ashen remains of the High Druin, Earl Mus.  This week, Sirrah Vox reported that he found no guards outside of the tower enforcing the
quarantine, and no signs of any kind of plague, much less an antidote.
What he did find was a number of mages standing in a circle casting some
kind of spell; in the middle of the circle, floating in the air, was an oak tree.  Duke Lorath, in addition to a contingent of the Windsor Guard
(and some of my men as well), immediately went to the Mages' Tower to
confirm this, and discovered that the quarantine was indeed still in effect, leading many to believe that Vox's perception or memory of the event had somehow been tampered with.

I would like to add that, after stopping briefly at my home in Keltian, I discovered that the small amount of "Mus dust" I had collected several
weeks ago for study had given issue to a small sapling.  What the exact
cause of this transformation is unknown, but my guess is that those mages
within the tower (the ones seen by Sirrah Vox) who did not fall prey to
the dust were somehow able to cast a spell turning all of the infected
material into trees.  Hopefully more will be learned about this in the
near future.

PEASANTS RESCUED FROM "BLUE DIMENSION," THWARTING INVASION PLANS
The queen told how a small number of us were able to rescue the massive
numbers of peasantry from Gylemantis' dimension using a large magical
gate.  This gate, which was admittedly my brainchild, was built by some
of our mages based on the design for the "badges" used by Gylemantis'
golems to travel between his dimension and ours.  The peasants were ill
from their extended stay in the blue dimension, and were seen to by a
veritable army of healers led by Lady Moira.

Queen Flidas also told the Court about a dark cloud she had seen while
personally scouting out the dimension using the badge given to her by
Lacon Vox.  Could this be the same dark cloud as before?  No one knows.

BIZARRE SLEEPING SICKNESS SWEEPS THE ELEVEN LANDS
Several Companions reported that there were numerous cases of peasants not showing up to work, or of peasants falling asleep at their jobs or homes and not waking up.  Towards the end of the evening this sleeping
sickness had started to affect the Companions themselves, resulting in an
emergency edict by Queen Flidas for all Companions who were able, to go forth and find what was causing this new epidemic and put an end to it.  Unfortunately, due to the desperation of the situation, the Fortune's Folly pages were included in this edict, being sent to Warwick Castle to
investigate matters there.
